Festival Background 

This is an iconic food festival of Gyeongsangnam-do that was launched to promote the diversity and excellence of Changwon’s local cuisine and to present indigenous foods made using the local specialty products of Changwon that display originality. 

Festival Overview 

Event - Changwon Food Culture Festival and National Indigenous Food Cooking Contest 

Date – Saturday in the third week of October every year

Venue – Yongji Culture Park (next to Changwon KBS Station) 

Programs – Special Food Culture Exhibition, Contest Food Exhibition, and National Changwon Indigenous Food Cooking Contest, National Cake Baking Contest, and food tasting booths 

Host – Changwon-si 

Supervision – Changwon Food Culture Festival Steering Committee
