“Cheonjusan” means “a man that supports the heaven from below." The mountain is 639 meters above sea level, and covers Chirwon-myeon in Haman-gun. It had been called Cheongnyongsan, Damsan and Jakdaesan before being finally named as Cheonjusan. The beautiful Dalcheon Valley is a popular summer vacation spot with its dense forests, large and flat rocks, and clear water. This is also where the Joseon merchant Heo Mok came to spend his time. Every April, a national azalea festival is held in the azalea colony areas.
