This is an independent mountain that is small in size, making it a perfect natural park. Paryongsan, which is also known as Bannyongsan, was given its name because its appearance is reminiscent of “8 dragons” moving about around the reservoir of the mountain. The main ridge enclosing the Changwon Education Complex has multiple rocky peaks that are rugged. For this reason, it has been used as a training site for the Marine Corps of the Republic of Korea, and it is considered one of the best places for rock climbing.
